"Max"

December 8, 2007

The puppies are two weeks old.  This week they all opened their eyes.  Puppy Three (small half mask boy), Puppy Five (big double mask girl) and Puppy Six (big half mask boy) were the first to open their eyes at nine days old. Puppy One (plain face girl), Puppy Four (small double mask girl) and Puppy Seven (double mask girl with black ears) followed at ten days old.  Puppy Two (double mask boy) didn't open his eyes until two days later.  We considered nicknaming him "Sleepy" after one of the Seven Dwarfs.  We would still need to fit personalities to the other puppies though... "Dopey", Grumpy", "Doc", "Bashful", "Sneezy" and "Happy".

The puppies also crawled out of their puppy pool on Saturday - at two weeks of age.  This is the earliest I remember any of my litters doing this.  So on Sunday they get moved up to the larger wading pool and the expens will be enlarged to accommodate the larger pool that will serve as their bed for another couple of weeks.
