Max joined our family in November of 2000. He came from Skyfire Kennels in Kennewick, WA.  Max is out of AM/Can CH Dreamtime Blade Runner x Shallazar's SF Snapdragon.  Max was my first show dog and I learned a lot from him in the ring.  I are very proud of what Max was able to accomplish in his short lifetime.

On December 3, 2003, Max won Best in Breed and Best Bred By Exhibitor competition at the 3rd Annual Eukanuba AKC Championship Invitational.  The top 25 dogs from each breed were invited to compete.  Max was the "underdog" when he came to the show.  But he looked great and showed wonderfully for his breeder, Tracy Johnson.

Max was bred to Creole's Shallazar Tegan in 2004.  He produced 5 handsome boys.

In March '05 Max was diagnosed with Lymphoma.  He was able achieve remission within the first week and during the first few months of his illness, Max went on to win several Group Placements.  However, the chemotherapy that he was undergoing damaged his coat and also weakened his endurance.  Mid year he was no longer able to compete with the same stamina that he did at the beginning of the year and we saw it was time to give him time off.  In October 2005 after the 2005 ACDCA Nationals, Max retired from the show circuit due to illness.

Max's last "Hurrah" was at the 2005 ACD Specialty.   He mad several cuts in the Best of Breed competition before he tired out.  He was awarded Second Place Stud Dog.  It was a very proud moment for me as the boys from this litter were the the only breeding I was able to do from Max before he contacted the disease.

On September 30, 2006, Max lost 1-1/2 year battle with Lymphoma.  He legacy will live on at Adams Ranch ACDs however.  We now have three generations from Max.  His sons, who we own or co-own are Luke, Jed and Yuppie from the 2004 litter, Sydni (Max's grand daughter out of Luke), and Sydni's litter of puppies born in December 2011. At this time, the pick puppy has not been decided.
